Running in North Korea - The Olympic Channel

As one might expect, making a documentary in North Korea is not very easy. That said, during one event every year the famously isolated country opens its doors to foreigners for the Pyongyang Marathon. In this documentary for the Olympic Channel we brought two olympians with a casual interest in marathon running to North Korea to experience what it’s like to be an athlete in the notorious nation. A mixture of self capture and stunning dreamlike visuals combine to tell the story of a place and an experience unlike any other.
